Elder Heaton
So today after getting our new Minivan(whole other story) Jake decided that he really wanted sushi for dinner. There is a place in Elk Grove that we really like so off we went. Knowing that my brother lives around the corner from the restaurant i just couldn't pass up the opportunity to stop by and surprise him! We didn't have to much of a hard time finding it seeing how the window was full of pictures of Christ, and the balcony had 4 bikes on it! Anyway as we piled the kids out of the car and made our way to the stairs we saw one of the missionaries sitting there, and asked if Elder Heaton was home. He immediately responded with "you are his sister huh?" Ummm Yea! I was really hopping that i wasn't going to get him in trouble. His companion wasn't feeling to good but told us that Elder Heaton was busy teaching an important lesson just down stairs to an investigator. I said, "No problem!" I didn't want to interrupt, but he said that it would good if we saw him and also meet the family who he has been teaching. REALLY? SWEET!! So he went and knocked on the door and of course Heaton walked right in. All i could hear is "UMMM..... OH MY GOSH!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!" I then saw my brother, and the complete SHOCK! i of course gave him the biggest hug ever, and couldn't hold back the tears!! Not because i miss him, but because of how proud i am of the work that he is doing!! HE introduced us to this AMAZING family and snagged a few pictures. One more quick hug before we were on our way. I have never felt the spirit so strong!! That home was full of love, and gratitude for the things that were being taught! I know that feeling will never be able to be denied! As we returned to the car, i of course had to immediately had to call my parents and tell them what i had just done. I just sat in the car talking to my parents when Jake looked at me and said just a minute, and got out. A few minutes later he returned and i asked him where he had gone. he said that he also could feel the spirit so strong and felt like he needed to go bear his testimony to this family. The family told him that they were so thankful for his testimony and also for my brother! I can not tell you how grateful i am that my husband is in tune with the promptings of the spirit, and was able to share it also. I know that my brother has brought so many blessings to our family for his sacrifice! I love him so much and can't wait to see all the other families that he will be able to bless as he continues his mission. Love him so much!!
Easter DAY!
Easter Sunday... We had such a great day spending time with family and friends and celebrating EASTER! I am so grateful for my family and the knowledge we have that we will be together forever, because of our Savior!! All day i thought about my brother Jake who is out here on his mission and the knowledge he is sharing with others on this day. What an amazing gift we have been given!!
Easter
Ya! for Easter and Pinnacle Parties! We had a great litttle Easter egg hunt and BBQ, for the Pinnacle families. These guys work hard, but it nice when the families can all get together and do something fun! The kids all had a good time and were on one BIG sugar high by the end!
Of course trying to get a good picture with this many little ones is quit a challenge!

Happy Birthday Babe!!
SO i decided to have a little surprise birthday party for Jake, but anyone who knows him, knows how hard this would be to pull off! He always wants to know exactly what is going on at all times. When i told him i needed to go set up for a church function, he was like "REALLY?" He finally bought it and it was a success!
HE is Such a great dad, and role model to our kids! I love that he loves to spend all his extra time with them. He is also a wonderfull husband to me, and always tells me what a great mother i am, which some days it makes listening to all the screaming and fighting worth it. Love you so much BABE!!
